The Farmers
Jordan and Emily both grew up on the Front Range. They met in 2006 at CSU in Fort Collins and in 2010 decided to join forces and start a family. In 2012, looking for a change and new opportunity, they decided to relocate to Southwest Colorado. With a strong passion for local food and self-reliance they started Summit Roots Farm in 2013.
Guiding principles:
During the season, you will find Jordan in the garden philosophizing with the crew and at the Durango Farmers Market on Saturdays. Emily spends the school year teaching and is at the Cortez Farmers Market on Saturdays during the farming season. |
